South Pars gas condensates exports up 57%

Chief Customs Officer of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone said over 1.338 million tons of gas condensates have been exported from South Pars gas region during the first month of Iranian calendar year, started March 20, 2016.

Talking to IRNA, Khodadad Rahimi said the figure showed 57 and nine percent increase in weight and value respectively compared to the same period the previous year.

He added the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has prompted South Pars gas field to increase the exports of its products.

Over 1.538 non-oil products, worth over $780,518m, were also exported from South Pars gas region during the period, he added. Rahimi said the figure shows 48 and eight percent increase in terms of weight and value respectively compare to the same period the previous year.

Last week, CEO of Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (OECC), Gholamreza Manouchehri said gas condensates output from South Pars gas field will reach one million barrels per day. He said that 28 phases of South Pars gas field have been developed.

Each of the phases of the South Pars natural gas fields has the capacity to produce 25 million cubic meters of gas every day, Manouchehri said.
