South Korea imported 400.000 bpd of Iran oil

After international sanctions on Iran being lifted, the country’s oil and gas condensate export to South Korea increased 300.000 bpd to 400.000 bpd, Iran’s Minister of Petroleum announced on Sunday.

Addressing a meeting with Kang Hoin, South Korea's minister of land, Infrastructure and Transport in Tehran, Zangeneh highlighted his meeting with the South Korean Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Joo Hyung-hwan in his office in Tehran in February, saying that many Korean companies have initiated talks with Iranian energy companies and petroleum ministry subsidiaries since February.
“The Korean side increased its Iran oil exports since sanctions were lifted by 300.000 bpd, South Korea’s oil import from Iran reached 400.000 bpd,” Zangeneh Said.
Zangened also highlighted that banking transactions with Korea is still there and the issue is under negotiation.
