The CEO of the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) said the company’s plans to boost crude oil production from South Azadegan was on the go despite all the restrictions.
According to
PEDEC, Touraj Dehghani said plans were under way to launch a mobile processing
unit in South Azadegan Oilfield parallel with the 40th anniversary of the
victory of the Islamic Revolution in February.
“We are
making every effort to accelerate implementation of projects in the field and
other national projects that our company is carrying out,” the official said.
He further
stated that the best of domestic potentialities were being tapped for
completion of PEDEC projects despite all the restrictions imposed on the
Iranian oil industry.
Once the
mobile processing unit comes online in South Azadegan, the joint field’s oil
production capacity will increase by 50,000 b/d.
