According to
NIDC, the wells were spudded as a project to drill 20 wells in the field.

Asadi, an official with NIDC, said that drilling the wells began in 2016 and
took almost 24 months to complete.
He said the
projects were ordered by the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company
(PEDEC) and are expected to conclude by mid-2019.
The manager
of the project further said that drilling of the remaining wells had gained 90
percent progress so far.
NIDC has so
far drilled 56 wells in the joint oilfield.
