According to Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Reza Dehghan,
deputy NIOC CEO in engineering and development affairs, during a visit to the
refineries, said the projects were almost ready for startup and would come
on-stream prior to Norouz, March 21.
The facilities are aimed at processing the gas recovered
from the offshore projects in the Persian Gulf waters.
He said a billion cubic feet of natural gas was being
producing at Phase 14 of the massive gas field, adding the project had made 70
percent progress and the first refinery of the phase would become operational
by next winter.
The official further said that activities to develop phase
II of the field were under way and new updates about the latest developments in
the project were yet to be announced.
