Hamid Reza Araghi, who is also deputy petroleum minister, made the remarks here Wednesday.
After the sixth and ninth refineries of South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) became operational in the past Persian year (ended March 19), the country could see the increase in its gas production, Araghi said.
“In the fiscal year ending 21 March 2016, production of gas rose in South Pars, with subsequent benefits for the public welfare in form of reduced environmental pollution; Phase 19 of South Pars brought together expertise and skilled labor force of South Pars, Pars Oil and Gas, and PetroPars companies, which will significantly contribute to national wealth,’ Araghi told reporters.
The sixth and ninth refineries include South Pars phases 12, 15 and 16.
